A TU guide to giving this holiday season

In addition to the fifth annual Stuff-a-Bus drive, there are a number of ways for the Towson University community to help this holiday season.

Santa’s Sandy Hands is collecting unwrapped toys, new clothes and household items to be distributed to displaced families this holiday season. Drop-off boxes are located in the Towsontown Garage and Liberal Arts 2210. The drive ends Friday, Dec. 7. For more information, contact Andrea Batiato or Frank Hill.

The Towson University Police Department is collecting new or gently used blankets and sheets of any size to be distributed to the homeless via St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore. Donations can be dropped off at University Union 200F every weekday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Thursday, Dec. 20.

The Cherry Hill Holiday Drive is collecting unwrapped toys and new or gently used winter coats, gloves, hats and scarves for children or adults, to be distributed to the residents of Cherry Hill in south Baltimore. Drop-off boxes can be found in Administration Building 237, Van Bokkelen 105, Hawkins Hall 304, 7800 York Road Building 206, West Village Commons, the Department of Mathematics and the Towson Place Apartments leasing office. Donations will also be collected outside of Susquehanna Dining Hall in the University Union Dec. 5 and Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The drive ends Wednesday, Dec. 12. The Minorities in Science/Technology Club is collecting clean fall and winter clothing for those less fortunate, to be donated via the AIRS Foundation of Baltimore. Drop-off boxes are located in the Administration Building, Cook Library, Enrollment Services, Glen Dining Hall, Hawkins Hall, Liberal Arts Building, Smith Hall, University Union, West Village Commons and 7800 York Road Building.
