Student Government Association takes stand for diversity

The Towson University Student Government Association released a video Thursday afternoon to speak out against offensive language that too often finds its way into everyday conversation. The team of students includes Samantha Figueroa, Kurt Anderson, Michael Keenan, Glorimar Quinones, Bayan Rustom and Jamal Washington.

The video is presented in celebration of Diversity Awareness Month as a call to action to the rest of the Towson student body to join the SGA in its desire to end hateful speech.

“Say something positive. Discover how to express yourself more effectively through your words. October is Diversity Awareness Month and we, as students of Towson University have taken our stand. What will be yours?”
