The Towson University women’s basketball team will open play in the CAA Tournament Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Show Place Arena in Prince George’s County.

The sixth-seeded Tigers will face third-seeded College of Charleston.  The team defeated the Cougars twice during the regular season, 64-60 in Charleston and 75-63 at SECU Arena in the Tigers’ Senior Day game.

If the Tigers beat the Cougars on Friday night, they will play either second-seeded Delaware or seventh-seeded Northeastern on Saturday. That game tips off at 2:30 p.m. The CAA championship game starts at noon on Sunday.

Towson enters Friday night’s CAA quarter-final contest with an overall record of 13-16, including a 7-9 record in the league. The College of Charleston is 16-13 overall and 9-7 in CAA play.
