Campus Life ready to show that TU students “can” help

The four departments in Campus Life will be running a canned food drive on Towson’s campus.

In a friendly competition, the four departments in Campus Life are asking Towson University students a simple question: “Can You Can?”

Campus Recreation Services, The Office of Student Affairs, New Student Programs and The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life are competing to see which department can (no pun intended) raise the most canned/non-perishable food items.

Campus Life is encouraging students to donate in recognition of the department that they believe has had the most impact on their Towson University experience thus far.

The drive began on Nov. 3 and will last until Friday, Nov. 21. Students can make donations in the labeled bins on the first floor of the University Union outside of Tiger Reels.

The items donated will then be a part of the annual “Stuff-a-Bus” campaign that starts in December. “Stuff-a-Bus,” sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and the Veterans Center, will then donate the each food item to the Maryland Food Bank.
