150 years all in one website

150th anniversary logo

The website was designed by Towson alum, David Calkins, assistant director of creative services and built by MindGrub, a Baltimore-based Technology Agency.

We are celebrating the launch of the 150th Anniversary website! We’ve been working hard over the past few months to put together this easy-to-use site that provides a fun and friendly user experience for everyone. Towson University 150th Anniversary committee co-chairs Myrna Cardin ‘65 and Gerry Gaeng ’81, along with 100-plus members on 10 committees, invite you to find out about our journey by visiting the new 150th anniversary website.

It includes an interactive timeline showcasing TU’s rich history from normal school to university, from 11 students to nearly 23,000, and from a teachers college to one of the largest universities in the state of Maryland. The website hosts information on upcoming 150th anniversary events and offers the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni or stoke your nostalgia on the social media tab.

Through that tab, you can share your memorable, heartening, and unique stories about your school days – whether it was called Maryland State Teachers College, Towson State Teachers College, Towson State University or simply Towson University.

You can also sponsor the 150th Anniversary Celebration or make a donation to the anniversary scholarship fund through the website.

The website will serve as a central hub for all things #TU150. Towson encourages users to actively engage in social media, follow along with posts, share their own pictures and videos of the celebration, and keep up with the celebration events.

If you would like to see other information added to our site, please let us know. We hope you enjoy!
