Towson University’s Department of Dance will offer drop-in adult dance classes to the community beginning Jan. 7, 2013.
All classes will be instructed by trained dance professionals and located at Towson’s Center for the Arts. No registration is required, so students may begin anytime and participate when their schedule permits.
Classes in ballet and modern dance will be offered at multiple levels of ability. Other classes include jazz, Afro-fusion and improvisation.
Community dance classes are designed to help dancers of all abilities learn joy of movement and gain perspective of their bodies while refining their technique and building strength.
The cost is $11 for a 60-minute class and $14 for a 90-minute class. Students who purchase an eight-week class card will receive a 10 percent discount.
