Nearly 5,000 new students join Towson University this fall as classes for the new term begin on Wednesday. Of these students, approximately 2,724 are freshmen that make up the class of 2017. This year’s freshmen class is 10.6 percent larger than last year, growing the undergraduate population to more than 18,000 students this year.
Many of these new students moved into their residence halls on Saturday. With family and friends helping carry boxes from cars to carts to rooms, Towson’s newest Tigers set up their homes away from home as they prepare for their college careers.
