The Towson football squad departed earlier this week for a cross-country trip to the Pacific Northwest where record-breaking running back Terrance West and the Tigers will play one of the biggest games in the program’s history this Saturday at 2 p.m.

After knocking off No. 2 Eastern Illinois last Friday on a snow-covered gridiron, the Tigers seek another upset, this time against No. 3 Eastern Washington.

Seeded seventh in the NCAA FCS Playoffs, the Tigers have reached the semifinals and, with a win against the Eagles Saturday, would have a chance to play for a national championship in the new year.

Towson Athletics has organized five viewing parties where Towson fans can connect and cheer on the Tigers Saturday afternoon. The Baltimore-area locations include Bill Bateman’s Bistro on York Road, Mother’s Federal Hill Grille on S. Charles Street and Mother’s Peninsula Grille on Ritchie Highway. Two additional viewing parties are booked for Crossroads Restaurant Long Island in Hicksville, NY and Mad River Bar & Grille NYC.

The game will be broadcast on ESPNU for fans watching at home. Get more information about Saturday’s game at the TowsonTigers.com FCS Championship Central.
