The FCS National Championship finalist Towson football Tigers will be honored during Monday night’s men’s basketball game.

The hard court action comes after the Tigers suffered a hard-fought loss to Delaware Saturday, 83-76. The team’s record now stands at 12-8 on the season, including a 3-2 count in CAA conference play. Tip-off against CAA rival Hofstra is at 7 p.m. at SECU Arena.

Members of the record-breaking football team will be introduced at halftime Monday night. Two of them will share their thoughts about their season and the support they’ve gotten from fans. Towson University President Dr. Maravene Loeschke and Athletic Director Tim Leonard will also speak briefly.

After a 10-2 regular season, the football team won three FCS playoff games against Fordham, Eastern Illinois and Eastern Washington to earn a spot in the national championship game against eventual champion North Dakota State in Frisco, Texas. Towson’s 13 wins were the most recorded in university football history.
