WTMD hosts first live Baltimore Hit Parade

Kentavius Jones

Eastern Shore soul singer Kentavius Jones is the house artist for WTMD’s first live Baltimore Hit Parade.

WTMD welcomed an Eastern Shore artist’s Baltimore radio debut Tuesday night for its first-ever live broadcast of Baltimore Hit Parade.

The show—once called Baltimore Unsigned—launched in 2006 and includes local music, interviews and performances from local bands and other features hosted by Baltimore music coordinator Sam Sessa.

The live broadcast featured soul singer Kentavius Jones, a performance from the Baltimore Rock Opera Society production “Grundlehammer” and appearances by Baltimore musician Lexie Mountain and Ottobar owner Michal Bowen. As a non-musical “extra,” Elena Fox of Charm City Cakes  worked to whip up a dessert in three minutes or less.
