Due to popular demand, the registration deadline for Thursday’s ‘Football 101 for Women’ clinic has been extended. Participants may continue to pre-register for the event until this Wednesday, July 23. Walk-up registration on Thursday (July 24) will also be allowed in the Minnegan Room at 7 p.m.
The fifth-annual clinic provides a great opportunity for women to increase their knowledge of football, learn the rules of the game, run through on-field drills, mingle with the Tiger football staff and simply have fun. Football 101 will take place from 7:30 to 10 p.m., with check-in starting at 7 p.m. in the Minnegan Room at the Unitas Stadium Field House.
The clinic will be conducted by Towson head coach Rob Ambrose and his staff.
“I look forward to this event every year,” Ambrose said. “It’s an awesome experience. We have fun, but we’re also serious about teaching the rules of the game. I believe in doing everything possible to enhance the fan experience at our games, and this clinic is another part of that effort. We want participants to enjoy the night, ask questions, laugh and have fun!”
The Football 101 clinic includes light food and drink, sponsored by Bill Bateman’s Bistro, and a t-shirt. Each participant will also receive two tickets to any Tiger football home game.
Participants are asked to wear casual clothing for light on-field activities.
Free parking for this event will be available in Lot 19 adjacent to the Tiger Soccer Complex.
Registration is $30 for the general public or $25 for Towson football season ticket holders, faculty, staff and students. To register for the event, go to the www.towsontigers.com web site or call the Towson athletics ticket office at 1-855-TU-TIGER.
