U.S. News & World Report ranks Towson among top public regional universities

US News badgeThe U.S. News & World Report 2015 America’s Best Colleges guide ranks Towson University 15th in its Top Public Schools – Regional Universities (North) category, placing it among the best of the 49 institutions surveyed.

The university occupies 60th place in U.S. News’ list of 135 private and public regional institutions in the North.

TU is also included in America’s Best Colleges’ second ranking of Best Colleges for Veterans, placing 21st among 49 public and private regional institutions in the North. The list includes “top-ranked schools that participate in federal initiatives helping veterans and active-duty service members apply for, pay for and complete their degrees.”

“We are pleased that Towson University has again been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the best public institutions in our region and proud that we have also been recognized for our continued focus on supporting our veterans,” said Timothy Chandler, acting president. “We will continue our focus on providing a top-notch academic experience for all of our students while supporting student success for each of them.”
