The Tigers held Delaware to just 49 points on Friday night’s win over the Blue Hens. It was a season-low for points allowed by the Tigers and the second time this season they have held an opponent to 50 points or less. The 49 points allowed by the Tigers is the lowest point total the Tigers have surrendered since they gave up 46 to Loyola during the 2013-14 season. Towson is 4-0 under head coach Niki Reid Geckeler when it holds an opponent to 50 points or less and 11-1 since the start of the 2010-11 season when it hits that mark.

Towson connected on six three-pointers in the win over Delaware. Senior guard Ciara Webb had three triples while junior guard Dominique Johnson posted two and senior forward Camille Alberson had the other. Towson has recorded six or more three-pointers in four of the last six games. Of the Tigers’ 72 three-pointers on the season, 36 of the triples have come in the last six games. Johnson leads the team with 31 three-pointers and 12 of those have come in the last six games. Webb now has 15 triples this season and 11 have come during the six game stretch.

The Tiger women’s basketball team visits the College of Charleston and Elon next weekend before returning home to host Northeaster on Jan. 22.
