Huff Post wanted to know, TU students answered

Caitlin Moynihan

Caitlin Moynihan is a campus ambassador for Intern Queen.

Media always want insight on the Millennials, and who better to ask than actual college students? Recently, two Towson University students were featured on the Huffington Post as contributing columnists.

Honors College/College of Liberal Arts student Matt Teitelbaum ‘17 posted a column on unpaid internships to the Huffington Post. He is a political science major presently interning in the United States House of Representatives.

Read the full column here.

In it Teitelbaum debunks three myths that debase unpaid internships: they are unpaid, the work is unskilled and they emphasize educational learning rather than professional development.

College of Fine Arts and Communication student Caitlin Moynihan ‘17, who is a campus ambassador for Intern Queen, gives readers three tips on how to dress for a job interview. While preparing what you’re going to say is important, the mass communication major cites being comfortable, knowing the atmosphere and being yourself as having an impact on hearing “You’re hired.”
