Two campus “teach-ins” hope to open dialogue on unrest in Baltimore

The events taking place in Baltimore City following the arrest and death of Freddie Gray are painful for many members of the Towson University community and should be of concern to all.

Professor Todd Kenreich, Ph.D., and associate professor Janese Daniels from the College of Education are holding “teach-ins” in the University Union to help TU students, faculty and staff understand the complexities of the unrest in the city.

The “teach-ins” will occur on Thursday, April 30 at 2 p.m. in the Potomac Lounge and again on Monday, May 4 at 11 a.m. in Chesapeake I & II.

If you have other ideas of ways to promote thoughtful and meaningful dialogue, please feel free to share them with Vice President for Student Affairs Deb Moriarty, the Center for Student Diversity (410-704-2051), Campus Life (410-704-2332) and/or Housing & Residence Life (410-704-2516).
