American technology entrepreneur Jeff Bezos once said, “If you make customers unhappy in the physical world, they might each tell six friends. If you make customers unhappy on the internet, they can each tell 6,000 friends.”
In other words, never has digital strategy and marketing been more important to business than it is today.
With that trend in mind, Towson University has launched a new program designed to focus specifically on the latest advancements in that industry. Towson University Continuing Education and Professional Studies (TUCEPS) now offers a multidisciplinary digital marketing program designed to give marketing professionals the opportunity to learn the latest advancements in digital strategy.
TUCEPS offers mid-level marketing professionals the skills they need to get ahead in their career paths and fulfill educational requirements to become an online marketing certified professional (OMCP).
“Digital marketing and web optimization continues to drive the way the industry operates,” said Jeff Beeson, executive director of TUCEPS. “Employers are turning to digital to share ideas and bring their products to market, and will look to hire individuals with expertise in the field to help them grow and increase revenue.
“This course is designed to improve the marketing knowledge of our students, while making them more competitive in meeting the needs of employers and increasing their earning potential in the workforce,” Beeson added.
TUCEPS kicks off the digital marketing program with the digital marketing strategy course, which gives marketers the opportunity to learn more about the advancements in digital strategy. After covering a wide variety of tactics, students learn how to build and evaluate a digital marketing plan.
Top local digital marketing professionals teach each course to give marketing professionals a well-rounded, real-world experience.
TUCEPS is designed to address critical skill gaps in high-growth industries.
