Towson University Fisher College of Science and Mathematics’ Women in Science Program will hold its annual Women in Science Forum on Saturday, February 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Minnegan Room of the Unitas Stadium Fieldhouse.

Each year, the forum welcomes approximately 100 secondary, undergraduate and graduate students and their teachers as well as math and science faculty from TU and area colleges and universities to listen to speakers discuss a variety of topics.
This year, the line up of speakers includes:
- Major General Linda L. Singh, the adjutant general of Maryland for the Maryland Military Department
- Rajini Rao, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Physiology and director of the graduate program in cellular & molecular medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
- Dana Veron, Ph.D., associate professor and environmental science & studies director in the College of Earth, Ocean & Environment at the University of Delaware
Singh will speak on “A different view: living through adversity,” while Rao’s talk is entitled “Nature vs. nurture: addressing the gender gap in STEM” and Veron will talk last on “The climate is changing…now what?”
In addition to addresses from the speakers, attendees will be treated to a continental breakfast and lunch.
