2015 grads cross the stage, step symbolically into the “real world”

On Friday, May 22, the last of the more than 3,500 Towson University Class of 2015 graduates crossed the SECU Arena stage, ready to answer Interim President Timothy Chandler’s question: “How will you let it be known that you have passed this way?”

The spring 2015 graduating class held a combined 3.49 GPA, and nearly a third of the graduates were receiving their second degree from TU. This academic year, as in all others, produced teachers, nurses, businessmen and women, chemists, computer scientists and students in many other fields who are ready to make an impact and let the world know they have, indeed, “passed this way.”

In honor of TU’s 150th anniversary, past honorary degree recipients – including Norman Mineta, Bill Owens and Judith Jamison – shared their reflections on their educations and their advice to new graduates. This video was shown at all six commencement ceremonies held last week.
