CHP to host sports industry speed networking night

Female student participating in a speed mentoring nightHow fast can you make a first impression? The College of Health Professions is hosting a sports industry speed networking night on Monday, November 9 from 7-9 p.m. in the University Union, Potomac Lounge.

Registration for the event will take place starting at 7 p.m. Students will cycle through in 5-minute increments starting at 7:15 p.m. and continuing until 8:30 p.m. Following the networking, participants are invited to enjoy light refreshments until 9 p.m. to further cement the professional connections made or create new ones.

The purpose of this event is to expose students majoring in sport management and student-athletes to various aspects of the sports industry, providing them with the opportunity to network with individuals who are currently working within the industry. The event is an excellent opportunity for students to learn how professionals got into their industries, what a typical day looks like for the professionals and any advice the professionals have regarding the hiring process and starting out in the industry.
